L.A.D.I.E.S for a Better Life
Learning and Developing Individual Exercise Skills (L.A.D.I.E.S) is an online program designed to help Black women in the United States get more active.
We know life gets in the way between work, family, and travel. All of it can make it hard to show up consistently for your health. That’s why we’ve been working to bring a proven physical activity program online, so more Black women can lead a healthier life.

How It Started

The original L.A.D.I.E.S. for a Better Life study tested three approaches to increasing physical activity among Black women. Women in group programs (one faith-based and one literature-based) were more active than those working independently. Both group formats worked, and now we’re building on that success.
